I wanted to treat myself by purchasing a pair of really nice sunglasses and this manufacturer had a good reputation. The polarized lenses were noticeably better and the glasses were much more comfortable than any pair I had worn before. However, after 9 months of use the metal holding the nose piece fell off of the frame. I didn't sit on them or drop them. I took the glasses off my face, cleaned the lenses, and put them back on. They felt a little different, and when I took them off the metal piece was dangling. Maybe it was the intense heat in Texas. My only option for getting this fixed under warranty was if I assumed some risk and sent the glasses to a service center with a processing fee where they would determine whether or not it was a defect. I have seen considerably cheaper glasses survive significantly worse conditions. I think it was reasonable to expect more. |
